Holidays 51/52 2014 oleh Gabludlow

The theme for this week's photo is "holidays". I must point out that for me, a Brit, this means going on holiday, say to a hotel near the seaside or going skiing, but I've seen enough movies to realise it's a Christmas theme really. I had the great misfortune to go to the Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park with our Guides on Friday. It was so busy we almost lost some of them and for me and the other 2 leaders we couldn't enjoy ourselves as we were frantically counting the girls to make sure they were all still there... I managed to get some photos while the others were in the Magical Ice Kingdom. I didn't see much with nativity figures apart from in this tower, so that's why I've chosen this shot for this week. I've been to the Winter Wonderland in previous years but it is huge now. There are a lot of European market stalls selling lots of homemade gifts, loads of (expensive) fun fair rides and stalls selling food and drink. I think I'll stick to the smaller Christmas markets in future...
